Moran Point is about two-thirds of the way between the main lodge area and Desert View Point near the east entrance station to the park. You get a nice view across the canyon from Moran Point and a look to the right shows you Zuni Point
A small turnout on the way to Moran Point is next to what used to be a distinctive rock formation. Called Duck-On-A-Rock, this formation looked just like its name. Unfortunately, time and erosion has taken its toll and the duck's beak has fallen off. You can see it below the rock the duck is sitting on (I put an arrow in to show it). Imagine that this beak is fixed to the top of the formation and you can clearly see the duck.
Finally, the last tour point along the South rim is Desert View...
