Colorado River Area

The Colorado River, in the California, Nevada, and Arizona area is generally associated with desert and not much else. While it's true there is quite a bit of hot, arid, empty land in that area, there are also some interesting sights. The ones collected here are by no means complete as Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, and a number of other popular areas are not represented (as yet). What I do have, however, is...

• Laughlin. If you liked Las Vegas before the large resorts took over the city you'll love Laughlin.
• Lake Havasu. South of Laughlin, Lake Havasu is widely known because it's here that the London Bridge was moved when it had to be taken down in England. Several old mining towns are in the mountains nearby.
• Kingman. Not really on the river, Kingman is about an hour east of Laughlin. Home of actor Andy Devine, Kingman has some interesting historical sites. It's included here because it was a side-trip on a tour I took and this location was the best fit on my web site.
