There is much to see in the canyon. On a bus tour you have limited stops; but even there the views are spectacular.

Here is a formation known as the Great White Throne...

And, another called Lady Mountain. This one sits across from the Zion Lodge.

As you might have noticed in the other pictures, the trees were just turning colors on this visit. This scene presented itself in front of the Zion Lodge; about two-thirds of the way up the canyon from the entrance. We ate lunch at the lodge and were greeted by large ravens mooching food. |
